Rally Pretty Pink Layered Plus Crackle

I topped yesterday's mani with one coat OPI Rally Pretty Pink. I haven't shown this by itself because I'm not too fond of it. In fact, I'm still working out a way to love this in a way that doesn't involve flakes. No flakes because ain't that sort of cheating?

Sunshine at different angles:

It flashes a very strong gold... I'm not sure I like that.

Every time I see someone use crackle I want to go play with mine, but it's usually instant regret, haha! This is one coat of China Glaze Oxidized Aqua under the lamp. Still trying to love this one as well.

Happy polishing, everyone! Hopefully I'll have more luck tomorrow. *snickers*

NotD: School of Hard Rocks + I Lily Love You

It's so rare that I post a current manicure. The lag time between taking the picture and posting is (almost hilariously) months. This is also what I wore on Halloween. No time for a themed mani this year. /sad panda

This is two coats of Essie School of Hard Rocks (a dusty teal) topped with OPI I Lily Love You which made SoHR look grey with a blue undertone. I'm not sure I like that.

Weird angle to better show the iridescent glitter?

Hm, and I'm aiming to post every day this month. I don't know how long that resolution will last, but in by the hair of my chinny chin chin!

Not Like the Movies + I Lily Love You

As far as flakes go, I love I Lily Love You more than even Nubar 2010 (the Hidden Treasure dupe) because it flashes more than just two colors. This is three coats OPI Not Like the Movies topped with one coat OPI I Lily Love You. My camera really likes to make my hands look like a lobster, but I wasn't this red in person. Promise!

I was worried this would cover up the green side, but it didn't.

I loved this so much I bought a bottle for my sister. She actually asked for work appropriate colors ("oops"... hee!) so I got some of those for her as well. I want to buy a backup for myself but I think I'll wait for OPI to release this in other colors and hopefully a clear. Well, I have hope anyway. Actually, I should just hope that they don't change the formula for the worse the way they did Not Like the Movies.

OPI Grape Set Match

OPI Grape Set Match (I'm going to ignore the ellipses) from one of the England Glam Slam sets. I love this color! I took a hundred pictures but I'm not loving any of them. Bugger. But at different angles it's violet, purple, or blue. This is going into the top 20 of the year! and I'm sorta bummed more people aren't talking about it. A consequence of an oversaturated market.
Three coats plus topcoat. Under the lamp:

Sunlight:

GSM comes with a holo topcoat but I don't really like the combination. It just looks too busy. But I decided to play right before taking off the polish. Pointer and middle are one layer of Servin' Up Sparkle, ring and pinkie are one layer LA Colors Sparkling Diamonds.

And I'm almost, almost caught up on email and everything else. Almost.

Not Like the Movies, Stamped

Apparently we had an earthquake and now we're getting a hurricane chaser. Not like the movies indeed... Originally I wasn't going to buy this because really, how many bottles of purple green duochromes do I need? But then I saw it on Paillette's blog and I succumbed. Grr! Actually, I'm really glad I got this. I heard there's a dud version of this floating around and luckily this doesn't seem to be it. And the duochrome should keep me entertained for a couple days if the power goes out. Ha!

Three coats OPI Not Like the Movies stamped with OPI Ogre-the-Top Blue. A really good blue polish for stamping, if you were looking for one.

Aww, the winds and rain are starting to pick up and the mailman just pulled up. It's days like these where I feel bad for them. Well, staying dry doesn't seem to be an option, but I hope everyone on the east coast stays safe!
