Argh! I broke the nail on my thumb! This brings the times I've broken a nail to two. First world pain and suffering. I nubbinized everything and now I have an excuse to try something I've wanted to for a while. It's with a french nail design from plate m45 but on the diagonal. This is one coat Rimmel Midnight Blue stamped with Revlon Copper Penny.
Madly rushing today. I thought it was a good day to test a new topcoat, Out the Door. While it dried fast, I'm not happy with the brush marks. Will have to test some more.

Rally Pretty Pink Layered Plus Crackle
I topped yesterday's mani with one coat OPI Rally Pretty Pink. I haven't shown this by itself because I'm not too fond of it. In fact, I'm still working out a way to love this in a way that doesn't involve flakes. No flakes because ain't that sort of cheating?
Sunshine at different angles:

It flashes a very strong gold... I'm not sure I like that.
Every time I see someone use crackle I want to go play with mine, but it's usually instant regret, haha! This is one coat of China Glaze Oxidized Aqua under the lamp. Still trying to love this one as well.
Happy polishing, everyone! Hopefully I'll have more luck tomorrow. *snickers*

OPI Grape Set Match
OPI Grape Set Match (I'm going to ignore the ellipses) from one of the England Glam Slam sets. I love this color! I took a hundred pictures but I'm not loving any of them. Bugger. But at different angles it's violet, purple, or blue. This is going into the top 20 of the year! and I'm sorta bummed more people aren't talking about it. A consequence of an oversaturated market.
Sunlight:
GSM comes with a holo topcoat but I don't really like the combination. It just looks too busy. But I decided to play right before taking off the polish. Pointer and middle are one layer of Servin' Up Sparkle, ring and pinkie are one layer LA Colors Sparkling Diamonds.
And I'm almost, almost caught up on email and everything else. Almost.

I've Got the Blues - Franken
Actually, I've got the mean reds today but that is neither here nor there.
So, I've got a super duper easy franken to show today. So tempted to call this multichrome, but it's not. It's just neon pigments refuse to be ignored. My application was a bit funny. Everything is three coats except the pointer finger and thumb which are two. Yeah, it took me three fingers to realize two coats was no different than three.
All natural light (shade):
This ridiculously composed picture in sunlight is the only one that came out color accurate so I'm going to pretend this one was intentional. Every time I think my camera skills are improving the universe shows me how wrong I am. Pfft.
"Recipe"/Polish ratio: roughly 4 parts Sinful Love Nails to one part pink neon (I'm using China Glaze Pool Party).
Thoughts: I read in MUA's review section that Love Nails is a duochrome. What?? I've had this languishing in my stash for a while now and I never noticed. And hey, it is! It's a metallic electric blue in one direction and metallic teal in the other. The color shift is very strong but since it's blue to blue-green, I never noticed. So, I added pink because pink + blue = some kind of purple. Neons always dry fast and have a tendency to chip fast and this did dry fast but I got about three days before there was tip wear. Yay!
That's all the rambling I'll do for now. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this one heh.
