Attempt #1
Random franken tip: When trying something new, don't plan to franken more than two-thirds of a bottle full. Leave room for mistakes! :P
This was 60% Revlon Beach with 35% white and 5% Sinful San Francisco.
Sunlight:
I badly misjudged how little white I would need. Even in sunlight there isn't a lot of yellow shimmer... And my bottle is full. Argh! So I dumped some of the franken out onto my palette and added more Beach.
This is roughly 80% Beach, 15% white and 5% San Francisco.
Cloudy:
Sunlight: Oops, not quite as neon in real life.
Creme de Menthe has been described as a mint green but the swatches I see online are a lot darker then what I would call mint and I've never seen this in person. Hmmm. I think I will have to try adding a little more San Francisco.
To be continued. Eeep.

Rapture Resistent
Hey! Guess who's done with finals! \o/
Oi, okay. I've been procrastinating.
The lovely and mischievous Kris from My Lucid Bubble sent me this. Thank you, Kris!
It's Beach from Revlon and it's scented! Three coats plus topcoat.
I thought it was chartreuse but actually, in most lights it's a cheery metallic yellow.
Technically it's still chartreuse, but it leans much more yellow than I thought.
I had some bubbling issues, but it was so hot and humid, and I shouldn't have been painting my nails near a fan. The formula was surprisingly nice and dried fast. So, how does it smell? Strongly like suntan lotion. Not great... And I am some kind of masochist, because I kept sniffing my fingers every five minutes!
Kris also sent me Not So Blueberry. Which I will swatch and also post my franken attempt, as soon as I figure out how to configure my camera so it can take pictures of purples.
Oh yeah. Monkey asked me to put a GFC option on my blog. Where are my surprised eyebrows? Anyway, I did. :P

Teal Chrome Holo Franken 004
I mixed this one mid-March but it's been pretty persistently cloudy so I didn't try it until this week.
This is one base coat + two coats franken + one top coat
Teal:
Chrome:
Holo:
Full sunlight washes out the color a lot:
What I love about this one is its duo-finish quality.

Recipe:
1/2 bottle New York Color East Village
1/2 bottle Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond
10 drops New York Color West Village

Hey, this is my first time posting a recipe. Let me know if you have any tips or suggestions to do it a different way.
Also, name change. I kept trying to log into the wrong gmail account so I changed my blogger ID so it matches my email. But now I'm regretting using blogger at all. The interface is so clunky and unintuitive. Every time I sit down to write a post, I end up wanting to punch a dwarf in the nose! Umm, yeah /rant
